3. WHY ARE DEPOSITS REQUIRED FOR TATTOO APPOINTMENTS?

Sonic Tattoo takes $50 deposits for all tattoo appointment. We take deposit to ensure the seriousness of the person making the appointment. In the past some clients have cancelled their appointments with very little or no notice at all. This is very unfair to the Tattoo Artist who has prepared your artwork and was ready to tattoo you based on the word of the client that said they would be there for the appointment. Tattoo Artists are commissioned contractor and only earn a living by tattooing so when a client doesn’t show up they compromise the ability of our Tattoo Artists to earn a living. If a client does not give sufficient notice for cancelling or rescheduling then they default their deposit to the Tattoo Artist. This is for having wasted their time for any artwork that was prepared and for the set up of the tattoo booth. We have been taking deposits for several years now and I think you will find that this is common in the tattoo industry.  

4. DOES SONIC TATTOO ACCEPT WALK INS? 

Yes. We accept walk ins whenever we can but like most tattoo studios prefer to follow an appointment schedule. An appointment schedule allows us to make better use of our time and accommodate more clients. It seems that it has become trendy for tattoo studios to say that their booked for months in advance and can’t accept walk ins. Sonic Tattoo will always endeavor to accommodate walk ins as long as clients approach us with the interest in being tattooed or pierced. After all, the clients have made our studio what it is today and for that, Sonic Tattoo Thanks You.

  5. ARE YOU CLOSED?

No. Recently we had the front windows of the studio tinted to keep the heat and glare out of the studio. We still display a neon open sign during our hours of operation. Sonic Tattoo is open 7 days a week from noon to 9pm and has been for the last 10 years.
